Hair Growth Using Horse Shampoo (4 weeks)

Purpose: Over 4 weeks (month) time I will observe if there is hair growth, and if there is how much growth, using this product. On average my hair grows about 0.8 inches a month. The product I am using is called The Original Mane ‘n Tail and Body Shampoo; For shine, Manageable Hair from the brand Straight Arrow. I bought this 16 Fl. Oz. / 473 ml bottle from Ross for $2.99. You can also find this in a larger 32 Fl. Oz./946 ml size at Rite-Aid for $7.49 (turns out they also sell the conditioner).

On the bottle it says, “Directions for Human Ue: Wet hair and apply Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo. The amount used will vary depending on the volume and length of hair. Work through hair with fingertips, rinse thoroughly. For bes results, follow with an application of Mane ‘n Tail Conditioner.”

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide DEA, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance (Parfum), Hydrolyzed Collagen, Citric Acid, Methylchloroisothiazolinone/Methylisothiazolinone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional

Objective: Determine if there is significant hair growth.

Procedure: 1. Wash hair with product and towel dry.

                2. Record if any heat of product is used.

                3. Using ribbon mark length of hair in front of ear and measure.

                4. Measure every 7 days (week) and compare.

Base Measurement: 24.7 cm
